We throw our toy on the floor. It falls every time! We keep throwing it again and again to see if it will fall again. It falls again! We grab food with our hands! Sometimes we spray it. We bite the fruits with our tiny teeth and leave them. We poke at the cakes. We empty the cupboards in one swift move! We paint the walls. If things don’t go our way, we cry and shout. We don’t let anyone sleep. This is baby school.

Everywhere we go, we carry screams, laughter, rattles, saliva, chubby fingers, books with bite marks, single missing gloves, huge diapers, stained bibs, blankets drenched from being sucked on, and wide-eyed wonder.
